For the Star on the mega tree I used HolidayCoro’s 6 Row Star that is 36″ Wide. This ended up the perfect size for the 14′ mega tree! The Star uses 270 Pixels made up of three strings of 100 count 12v Pixel bullet nodes to to length.
The star comes folded in the middle so you have to assemble it with some included braces. There is a map of the wiring on the back of the star so its easy to know where to insert the pixels.
TIP: I recommend using Pixel Pusher Pliers to push the pixels into the thick coro material. Even with the pliers I wore gloves because this is hard on the hands.
The Star is attached to a section of 3/4″ pipe that is screwed to a floor flange. The flange bolts to the top side of the tree topper on the mega tree using four 1/4″ bolts, washers, nuts. The Star is a bit of a “wind sail” on top of the mega tree so its important everything is securely attached.
