I grew up near Indy, that’s Indianapolis, Indiana for you non-Hoosiers reading this. I now live in Albertville, Minnesota with my wife Angela as empty nesters, but there are lots of kids in our neighborhood so it’s never a dull moment outside our door!

My father and my friends dads were all bluecollar workers in different trades. I grew up learning to fix and build things with my hands. My father always put up Christmas lights which could be were I got my love for them. We even had a large detached two-car garage that looked like a large Christmas tree when the lights were on it!
As a 20-something I had a hobby and job in high-end audio/video where I was the mobile A/V specialist. I had taught myself 12 volt electrical systems which is what powers RGB Pixel lights! It doesn’t hurt having a love for music and audio equipment if you are going to make a musical light show.
In high school I developed a love for computer programming that turned into a career in technology and IT management, see my Linkedin page for more on that. My experience with computers and networking fits right in with making a Christmas Light Show.

As a family man I have developed a love for seeing the smiles on childrens faces. Few things capture the awe and amazement of a child like seeing flashing Christmas lights! See the Inspiration page for more.
